Azerbaijan`s President receives Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev received the Turkish delegation led by the country`s Energy and Natural Resources Minister and co-chair of the joint intergovernmental commission Taner Yıldız on January 22nd.
The Head of State stressed the importance of a meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey joint intergovernmental commission.
President Ilham Aliyev recalled the fruitful meetings with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan held the other day in Istanbul.
The Azerbaijani President underlined the importance of Taner Yıldız`s visit to the country.
President Ilham Aliyev said relations between the two countries were dynamically developing.
The Head of State expressed confidence the joint commission would address a number of issues concerning bilateral relations.
Mr. Yıldız conveyed Turkish President Abdullah Gul`s and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan`s greetings to the Head of State.
The Turkish Minister said the delegation would discuss a few matters to develop bilateral cooperation even more.
Mr. Yildiz expressed assurance this issues would be settled under guidance of President Ilham Aliyev.
The Head of State said the unity between the two countries is strengthening day by day, adding this has a positive impact on the region. President Ilham Aliyev found the need for the two countries to take the same stance on all matters in the future. He underlined both Azerbaijan and Turkey have shared interests in the world and region.
The President noted Azerbaijan-Turkey friendship is strengthening as well, underlining fraternity between the two nations is eternal. He expressed assurance that relations based on this foundation will "lead us to the future".
The parties discussed prospects for Azerbaijan-Turkey gas cooperation between.
They also stressed successful implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan projects.
The sides underlined the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project, adding Azerbaijan provided additional funds for the project in 2011.
Touching upon electricity cooperation, the parties discussed a project to connect electric lines of Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan.
They also discussed the export of electricity to Turkey in the future.
President Ilham Aliyev asked Yildiz to deliver his greetings to Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
