On January 12th President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Iranian minister of petroleum Seyed Masoud Mir Kazemi and his accompanying delegation.
President Ilham Aliyev said relations between Azerbaijan and Iran were developing successfully. The President noted relations between the two countries in energy sector had great history.
The Head of State underlined the necessity of determination of new spheres of bilateral cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev also underlined the necessity of exploration of new opportunities of cooperation in energy sphere at the current stage, adding there was good potential for it.
The President noted an exchange of views was conducted at a high level to expand relations in energy sphere. He also underlined the necessity of implementation of issues agreed.
For his part, Seyed Masoud Mir Kazemi extended Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad `s greetings to President Ilham Aliyev.
Touching upon the importance of the document on development of bilateral relationship, particularly energy cooperation signed last year by the heads of state, the minister said discussions on this issue would be continued during his trip to Baku.
Seyed Masoud Mir Kazemi pointed out relations between the two countries in all spheres, as well as energy sector were at a good level.
He also expressed assurance that bilateral relations would further deepen.
President Ilham Aliyev asked Seyed Masoud Mir Kazemi to convey his greetings to the Iranian president.
