President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a letter of congratulation to Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul on the country`s public holiday-Republic Day.
The President says in the letter that comprehensive development and economic growth of Turkey is accompanied by its increasing role in the ongoing processes in the region. "We are proud of Turkey`s accomplishments which make us very happy."
According to the letter, Azerbaijan-Turkey interstate relations reflect unanimous will of the two countries` peoples and differ with its highest level.
The President expresses confidence that Azerbaijan-Turkey friendship and brotherhood as a permanent source of strategic partnership, alliance and solidarity will serve welfare of "our peoples."
President Aliyev wished Gul robust health, successes in his activities, and peace and prosperity to the fraternal Turkish people.
