His Excellency Mr Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Dear Mr President,

Please let me cordially congratulate you on your re-election as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

I am very pleased that based on the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership, sincere and sustainable relations between our countries continue developing in a positive way. Apart from this, both sides enjoy good prospects for developing the economic sector. Therefore, I am confident that during your new mandate, we will jointly contribute to the implementation of existing projects and sign new ones.

Azerbaijan is an important partner not only in a bilateral format. I believe that the Azerbaijan-European Union cooperation will continue expanding. There are also prospects for cooperation within the Eastern Partnership, one of the initiators of which is the Czech Republic, and which we assess as a friendly and beneficial format for developing relations with our closest partners as before.

With great pleasure I recall my state visit to Baku in September, 2015. Renewing my previous invitation, I would also like to say that I am looking forward to your visit to Prague.

Dear Mr President, once again I congratulate Your Excellency on the occasion of your victory in the election, and wish you and your loved ones the best of health and happiness.
