European Union (EU) made new proposals to build confidence confidence between the sides for speeding up settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, head of the EU office in Azerbaijan, Ambassador Roland Cobia told journalists. 
The diplomat recalled EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton`s thoughts on strengthening organization`s efforts to settle the conflict during the Azerbaijan visit. "We welcome and support Minsk Group`s efforts, but we also plan to suggest new proposals for speeding up the settlement of the conflict, particularly building up confidence between the sides," Ashton said during the visit.
