Former Swedish Foreign Minister Jan Eliasson has said Azerbaijan`s membership of the UN Security Council could be a good chance for the country to speak of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the international scale.
He noted the UN will be a platform for Azerbaijan to draw the world community`s attention to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
"Azerbaijan now has more opportunities to draw the international community`s attention to the conflict by raising this issue at the Security Council."
Eliasson also pointed out that Azerbaijan`s membership increased the country`s chances of influencing global processes.
