“At PACE session, we demonstrated our position against the groundless accusations against Azerbaijan,” head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Samad Seyidov has told AZERTAC`s special correspondent.

He emphasized that some PACE members, who took a completely prejudiced stance on corruption issues, try to create problems for Azerbaijan. “Their main purpose is to distract attention from PACE's problems, serious negative processes in the world, processes in other member countries, especially in Armenia, and to artificially bring Azerbaijan into focus. We opposed and explained that this situation will cause problems for PACE itself, rather than for Azerbaijan in any form,” Seyidov said.

“We also raised the issue of the presidential election and demonstrated our position by opposing the unfounded accusations against our country,” he added.
