International Conference "Photosynthesis Research for Sustainability" will be held in Baku, from July 24 to 30, 2011.
The conference will be a great occasion for discussions of previous, present, and future research on photosynthesis, from molecular to global, and will provide an exiting scientific program. The event will provide a forum for students, postdoctoral fellows and scientists from all over the world to deepen their knowledge and understanding, widen professional contact and create new opportunities, including establishing new collaborations. The proceedings of lectures and posters will be peer-reviewed and published in special issues of Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (Bioenergetics) and International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
Chairman of the Conference is James Barber, President of International Society of Photosynthesis Research (UK) and the Honorary Chairman is academician Jalal A. Aliyev (Azerbaijan).
Co-Chairmen of the Conference are Nejat Veziroglu, President of International Association for Hydrogen Energy (USA) and Gary Brudvig (USA). Coordinator of the Conference is Suleyman Allahverdiyev (Russia).
Organizational Committee of the Conference includes famous photosynthesis researchers from the leading world countries. Contributions the Jalal Aliyev School has made to the global photosynthesis development are highly estimated by the world scientists and it is therefore such an authoritative conference is convened in the capital of Azerbaijan.
The Conference is said to actively agitate the Azerbaijani photosynthesis researches in the world and deepen its integration to the world science.
