A new building of the faculty of economics of Nakhchivan State University has been commissioned on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the university.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the building and viewed conditions created here.

Then the event marking the 50th anniversary of Nakhchivan State University was held at the Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov addressed the jubilee event.

Vasif Talibov congratulated teachers and students of the university on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Nakhchivan State University and on the launch of the new building.

The event then featured a ceremony to award medals and honorary titles of the Republic of Azerbaijan and honorary titles and prizes of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to the winners.

Vice-president of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, academician Isa Habibbayli congratulated the event participants on the occasion of the 50th jubilee of Nakhchivan State University.

The event participants then watched a short documentary on the 50th anniversary of Nakhchivan State University. The event ended with a concert.
