On June 23rd the 15th annual gathering of the Governing Council of Black Sea Trade and Development Bank was held in Baku.
Opening the event chief of the Governing Council, finance minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov said various events, including Azerbaijan Business Forum were held as part of the annual gathering of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank. He added Azerbaijan`s economic accomplishments, particularly development of private sector, as well as new directions of cooperation were highlighted at these events. Sharifov pointed out today`s gathering would focus on the role of Black Sea Trade and Development Bank in the region`s economy, influence of cooperation of member states on development of financial institutions and private sector, elimination of negative impact of eurozone crisis on members of the Bank. Sharifov said today`s discussions would contribute to expansion of potential in banking and business sphere.
President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, Andrey Kondakov briefed the participants on the activity of the Bank for 2012, successes and future tasks.
Speakers at the event stressed the role of the Black Sea Trade and Development in development of Black Sea countries and importance of joint cooperation.
The Governing Council of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank confirmed the annual report for 2012. The presidency in the Governing Council passed to Bulgaria and the event participants decided that the 16th annual gathering would be held in Sofia.
