On June 21st an Azerbaijani business forum opened as part of the 15th annual meeting of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) in Baku.
BSTDB president Andrey Kondakov said the forum aims to solve two tasks based on the example of Azerbaijan.
“The main objective of the forum is to discuss issues of diversification of the economy. An example of Azerbaijan, where the non-oil sector plays the role of the main engine of the economy, will be of interest to the forum participants, who will be able to learn about the experiences and successes of Azerbaijan. The second objective of the forum is to create links between the Black Sea Bank and international financial institutions operating in the country to promote cooperation and relations with Azerbaijan’s business. Within the forum we expect to present new promising projects for funding,” Kondakov said.
Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said that today’s forum creates opportunities to build new business network for the development of business in Azerbaijan and the region as a whole.
“Azerbaijan and its business are ready and able to direct their resources to solve the regional problems,” the minister emphasized.
