The relationship between the Islamic development Bank and Azerbaijan was developing rapidly, Executive Director of the Islamic Development Bank Selim Cafer Karatas told AzerTAc.
Karatas said the IDB plans to carry out several projects in Azerbaijan in the near future.
He praised the ongoing economic development process in Azerbaijan in spite of the global financial crisis, and particularly underlined the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s wise policy in "these accomplishments". "Today President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues this policy."
Karatas also expressed confidence that the cooperation between the IDB and Azerbaijan would continue to boost.
