Azerbaijan`s minister of foreign affairs Elmar Mammadyarov met Peruvian minister of foreign trade and tourism Jose Luis Silva Martinot.
The Peruvian minister briefed Mammadyarov on his country`s economy, investment climate and trade relations. He said Peru was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in economic sphere. Jose Luis Silva Martinot noted Peru had cooperation with European and Latin American countries in tourism sphere. He added Peru was ready to contribute to creation of relevant opportunities to attract investments from Azerbaijan.
Mammadyarov, in turn, underlined the importance of reciprocal visits, business forums for expansion of cooperation in economic and trade sphere. He noted Azerbaijan cooperates with several countries, including Latin American ones in energy sphere. The minister added establishment of cooperation in this sphere would be beneficial for both sides.
Mammadyarov also invited Jose Luis Silva Martinot to Azerbaijan. The Peruvian minister, in turn, said he intends to visit Azerbaijan with a delegation of businessmen.
