Head of the Russian Federation's Presidential Administration has praised his country's economic cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Sergey Naryshkin spoke to journalists as he is visiting Baku.
"Despite the global economic crisis our loses in trade were not big last year, and we believe we can restore the volume of our bilateral trade."
"Of course, energy is the largest sphere in the economic cooperation, and here we have new agreements, in particular, in the gas and power sectors," said Naryshkin.
He also said the two countries enjoy similar positions on internationally-important issues.
Naryshkin described prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in various spheres as "positive".
"We've discussed these issues with my Azerbaijani counterpart Ramiz Mehdiyev," added the Russian Presidential Administration chief.
