The meeting with delegation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency was held in national water operator "Azersu" JSC. 
Azerbaijan's national water operator Azersu informs that upgrade of water supply and sanitation in urban areas Gusar, Khachmaz and Lankaran will be completed within the Project next year. The work will be carried out by Azersutechizattikinti OJSC, selected on the basis of the tender.
During the meeting Azersu JSC chairman Gorkhmaz Huseynov valorized the role of Japan International Cooperation Agency in reconstruction of water supply and sanitation.
Assistant Director of Central Asia and the Caucasus Department of JICA, Mr. Akihiro Takashima said that his organization will support reconstruction of water supply and sanitation project.
The Water supply and sanitation in small towns, project funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, provide the reconstruction of water supply and sanitation services in 10 cities and towns of Azerbaijan (Salyan, Shirvan, Neftchala, Barda, Khachmaz, Yevlakh, Naftalan, Khizi, Gusar and Gobustan).
