A conference called "Knowledge Based Development and Innovative Ownership" organized by the European Economic Commission (UNECE) of the UN and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies started in Azerbaijan`s capital.
The event is held within the framework of the 17th international telecommunications and information technologies exhibition and conference BakuTel-2011.
As part of the event, the 4th meeting of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) Project Working Group on Knowledge-based Development will also take part.
The two-day conference features discussions on strategic policy issues related to the promotion of knowledge-based development and innovative entrepreneurship.
