The second meeting of Azerbaijan-Italian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation has been held in Rome, Italy.
The meeting was co-chaired by Azerbaijan`s Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev and Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Alfredo Mantica.
The event focused on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy in the fields of economy, industry, energy, agriculture, culture, tourism, education, health as well as future projects.
The meeting ended with the adoption of a protocol.
The Azerbaijani delegation also included First Deputy Finance Minister Ilgar Fatizade, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Niyazi Safarov, Deputy Education Minister Elmar Gasimov and the country`s ambassador to Italy Vagif Sadigov.
In Rome, the Azeri delegation met Italian minister for Economic Development Paolo Romani to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation.
Azerbaijan`s Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev also met with representatives of Italian Edison company.
