Vice-President of Finnish energy manufacturer Wartsila Christophe Vitzthum met with Azeri Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Abbasov to hold presentation on the company's solutions and services.
Addressing the meeting, Azeri Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Abbasov spoke about favorable business opportunities and investment climate in Azerbaijan. He has also briefed the participants on the activity of the company.
The meeting was attended by experts of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Defense Ministry, Ministry of Health, State Border Service, SOCAR, Azerenergy, Azerbaijan State Caspian Sea Shipping Company, JSC Azeristiliktechizat and Baku Metro.
Wärtsilä has worked in Azerbaijan during 10 years. Azerbaijan is a major partner of this company in the Caspian region. The company provides full sales services to power plants and in the field of navigation. The service center also supports the company's activities in Central Asia.
In 2005-2010, Wartsila has successfully completed the project of construction and commissioning modular power plants in Azerbaijan with total capacity of 880 megawatt. The company also has huge experience in shipbuilding, construction of heating systems, oil and gas compression equipment and other areas. The company's equipment has made a positive contribution to the implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline project.
Vitzthum said the company is honored to implement a variety of projects in Azerbaijan. According to him, Azerbaijan has turned into one of world's leaders and strengthens its international positions.
