The personnel of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources visited the memorial of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev at the Honorary Avenue, and also paid tribute to the Martyrs of the country on the occasion of professional day. The well-known ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva’s memory was commemorated, laid flowers at the tomb.

Measures related to the professional holiday were continued near concrete path along green zone on the territory of Surakhani district.

The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev with his opening remarks, stressed the succession of diversified consistent creative works in the spheres of environmental improvement and maintenance of ecological balance along with all spheres under the guidance of the head of state Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and gave information on the works and events realized by MENR. Likewise, various employees of the Ministry were conferred with “Honorary Decree” of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the sphere of efficient use of natural resources, environmental protection, restoration and sustainable development. The event was attended by the Minister Ecology and Natural Resources, non-governmental organizations and public representatives.
