According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 100-140% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 140-200% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 100-180% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers and 170% Nakhchivan AR.

Current condition in the transit rivers

On February 02, 4cm increase in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 167m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 101% of decade norm (in 2017, 125m3/sec, i.e 75% of decade norm. 2cm decrease in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption hold 54m3/sec, i.e 78% of decade norm. (in 2017, 56m3/sec, i.e 81% of decade norm).

Current condition in the downstream of Kura river

On February 02, decrease in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River.

In this regard, 7cm in Surra, 4 cm in Shirvan and Salyan, 3cm in Banka, and 8 cm Novruzlu settlement of Aras.

At present, water level holds 382cm (on February 02, 2017, 463cm) in Surra settlement, 275cm (on February 02, 2017, 327) in Shirvan, 299 cm (on February 02, 2017, 286cm) in Salyan, 212cm (on February 02, 2017, 243cm) in Banka, while 120cm (on February 02, 2017, 192cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
