According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 120-150% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 100-140% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 100-180% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers and 155% Nakhchivan AR.

 Current condition in the transit rivers

On December 01, 4cm decrease in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 163 m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 104% of decade norm (in 2016, 190m3/sec, i.e 121% of decade norm. 3 cm of increase in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption hold 39,5m3/sec, i.e 51% of decade norm. (in 2016, 70m3/sec, i.e 91% of decade norm).

 Current condition in the downstream of Kura river

On December 01, decrease in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River.

In this regard, 3cm in Surra, 2cm in Shirvan, 5cm in Salyan, 3 cm in Novruzlu settlement of Aras, while 1 cm increase in Banka.

 At present, water level holds 359cm (on December 01, 2016, 468cm) in Surra settlement, 231cm in Shirvan, 184 cm (on December 01, 2016, 351cm) in Salyan, 196cm (on December 01, 2016, 253cm) in Banka, while 85cm (on December 01, 2016, 190cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
