According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 50-60% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 20-60% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 40% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers and Nakhchivan AR.

Current condition in the transit rivers

On July 28, no change in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 77 m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 50% of decade norm (in 2016, 102m3/sec, i.e 67% of decade norm. 1cm decrease in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption holds 26m3/sec, i.e 30% of decade norm. (in 2016, 117m3/sec, i.e 133% of decade norm).

Current condition in the downstream of Kura river

On July 28, no change in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River. In this regard, 1cm decrease in Surra and Novruzlu settlement of Aras, 6cm in Shirvan, 8 cm in Salyan, 2cm in Banka.
At present, water level holds 349cm (on July 28, 2016, 363cm) in Surra settlement, 203 cm in Shirvan, 120cm (on July 28, 2016, 143cm) in Salyan, 183cm (on July 28, 2016, 185cm) in Banka, while 54cm (on July 28, 2016, 70cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
