According to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, currently, water richness holds 60-80% of decade norm in Quba-Khachmaz region rivers of Major Caucasus, 50-80% in Minor Caucasus rivers, 60% in Lankaran-Astara region rivers and 50% in  Nakhchivan AR.

Current condition in the transit rivers

On June 23, 7cm increase in water level was issued in Giragkesemen settlement of Kura river. Currently water consumption holds 286 m3/sec in the settlement, i.e 71% of decade norm (in 2016, 352m3/sec, i.e 87% of decade norm. 1cm increase in water level has been observed in Ayrichay settlement of Qanikh River. At present, water consumption holds 124m3/sec, i.e 75% of decade norm. (in 2016, 137m3/sec, i.e 83% of decade norm). 

Current condition in the downstream of Kura river

On June 23, decrease in water level has been observed in the downstream of Kura River. In this regard, 18 cm decrease in Shirvan, 20 cm in Salyan, 6 cm in Banka, 20 cm in Surra, while 21 cm increase in Novruzlu settlement of Aras.

At present, water level holds 396cm (on June 23, 2016, 332cm) in Surra settlement, 265 cm in Shirvan, 200cm (on June 23, 2016, 125cm) in Salyan, 193cm (on June 23, 2016, 184cm) in Banka, while 101cm (on June 23, 2016, 44cm) in Novruzlu settlement of Aras river.
