The Gabala 4th International Festival organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation ended on Sunday.
The festival has brought together musicians from Azerbaijan and foreign countries, as well as art collectives, soloists and directors.
The London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has closed the 4th Gabala International Festival with their performances.
Rector of the Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbayli, People's Artist Murad Adigozelzade, one of the art directors of the festival Dmitry Yablonsky, Teymur Suleymanbayli, Shukur Samedov accompanied the orchestra which conducted by Charles Dutoit.
The concert started from the overture ‘Candide' by US composer Leonard Bernstein. The orchestra soloists devoted the second part of the concert fully to the samples of the activity of US composer George Gershvin.
The concert aroused keen interest among the music lovers.
Azerbaijani pianist, winner of the Montreux Jazz Festival, Honorary Artist Isfar Sarabski also performed following the event.
Situated at the edge of the Caucasus mountains` tree-covered foothills, the Gabala International Music Festival has been running for four years.
The festival provided free open air concerts in the Azerbaijani countryside, reaching many locals who would otherwise never see a classical music performance.
