We are always glad to the successes of brotherly Azerbaijan, the deputy foreign minister of Russia Grigory Karasin said at the reception organized by embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia on the occasion of the national holiday - Day of Republic.
"Today Russia is under impression of Eurovision -2012. Azerbaijan, predictably, has appeared at height, having organized a grandiose holiday for all Europe and, having shown once again the bright ability to receive visitors and to light new stars", he underlined.
G. Karasin noted that the two peoples are connected by centuries-old bonds of the friendship, one destiny, common culture, and the states have connection of strategic partnership. The good neighborhood and cooperation relations established by the outstanding politician of modern independent Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev today are confidently continued by the country's present leadership.
Speaking about trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, Karasin mentioned that goods turnover between the countries has already reached 3 billion US dollars.
