President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva on Friday chaired a regular meeting of the Eurovision 2012 organizing committee in Baku. 
Head of the Eurovision 2012 organizing committee Mehriban Aliyeva said preparation work is underway in the run-up to Eurovision 2012 song contest in Baku.
Mehriban Aliyeva told the meeting that the committee faced a major task in organizing the contest at the highest level.
She said that the major part of the work has been already done, though several tasks are to be implemented.
Members of the Eurovision 2012 organizing committee made reports on preparations for the contest. Both preparation and organization of the contest are in progress, the speakers said. According to reports, experts of the European Broadcasting Union highly valued the work, which has been done in the run-up to the contest. Representatives of 42 countries will arrive in Baku on March 19-20 to familiarize themselves with the work.
