The Eurovision-2012 concept will be launched as part of a Host City Insignia presentation ceremony in Azerbaijan`s capital January 25.
The presentation ceremony will see the handover of the Host City Insignia to Azerbaijan, a semi-final draw and the launch of Eurovison-2012 logo and slogan. Düsseldorf`s Lord Major Drik Elbers will present the Host City Insignia to Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov and Baku will officially take over the Eurovision 2012 hosting.
The ceremony will also feature the draw of 37 participating countries in Eurovision-2012 semi-final. The place of G5 countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK) and host-country Azerbaijan among the semi-finalists will also be determined.
The logo and slogan of the contest will also be revealed in the ceremony. The contest has had a heart-shaped logo with the national flag of host country since 2004. Despite that every year host country presents its own logo or the concept in support of Eurovision logo.
Representatives of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) will participate in the ceremony.
