A delegation of Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism and employees of national Committee for UNESCO and permanent mission to UNESCO participated in the 35th session of the World Heritage Committee held in UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France on June 19-29.
Chairwoman of the committee and cultural minister of Bahrain Mrs Mai Bint Muhammad Al Khalifa, Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova and others made speeches in the opening ceremony. The speakers touched upon the establishment of world heritage convention, progress archived over the past 40 years.
Delegations of the countries, as well as representatives of Ukraine, Latvia, Austria, France drew the attention to the World Forum on Intercultural Dialog held in Azerbaijan`s capital.
