Azerbaijani writer Afag Masud has become one of the three top winners of a literary contest marking the 100th anniversary of renowned Turkish playwright Haldun Taner for her play “Mansur Hallac”. The head office of the International Organization for Joint Development of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) hosted the awards ceremony of the First International Contest of Stage works.

The event was organized in partnership with the Union of Writers of Eurasia, TURKSOY and the Turkish Ministry of Culture. Chairman of the Union of Writers Yagub Omaroglu addressed the ceremony, which also featured a documentary highlighting the life and activity of Haldun Taner.
