Selection of Consultant Company to provide training on improvement practical skills and knowledge of IT staff in the field of VMware virtualization technologies

The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Real Estate Registration Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan for consultancy services for training purposes. The purpose of the project is to provide a reliable, transparent and rational Real Estate State Registration system for managing and using the enterprise as well as state-owned real estate which supports the real estate markets.

One of themaintraining objectives under this project is the selection of the consultant company to providetraining on improvement practical skills and knowledge of IT staff in the field of VMware virtualization technologiesfor theInformation Technologies and Data Management Centerof the State Committee on Property Issues (SCPI).

The main objective of the assignment is to obtain the knowledge and skills in accordance with the official VMware courses outlineson virtual environment and virtual machines; knowledge and experience on the construction, customization and management of virtual machines.

The Project Management Unit of the Real Estate Registration Project now invites eligibleconsultants companies (“Consultant”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultant companies should provide information demonstrating that the consultant company should have higher knowledge and skills, and at least 5 years of experience in the field of IT; owning certificates like as VMware Certified Professional 5 (VCP 5) and Vmware Certified Instructor 5 (VCI 5); owning the status of VMware Authorized Training Centre; being informed about the latest programs and equipment in education;ability of examining the participants before and after the training; preference will be given to specialists with Russian language skills (with translation into Azeri). The total amount for the training is 104hours. Training will be provided at the Training Centre of the State Service for the registration of Real Estate under the State Committee on Property Issues.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’sGuidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers dated May 2004, revised October 2006 and May 2010 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. A Consultant company will be selected in accordance with the Selection Based on the Consultants’ Qualifications (CQS) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines of the World Bank.
