Inter-parliamentary relations play a significant role in development of Azerbaijani-French ties, said Speaker of the Parliament Ogtay Asadov as he met head of the France-Azerbaijan Friendship Group at the French National Assembly Pierre-Alain Raphan.

They exchanged views on prospects of cooperation, role of the inter-parliamentary ties in development of bonds.

Mr. Asadov touched upon the Azerbaijani-French ties, as well as importance of reciprocal visits in further boosting bonds.

The speaker highlighted signing 52 documents between Azerbaijan and France, and emphasized the significance of boosting relations in economic field. He expressed confidence that the visit of head of the France-Azerbaijan Friendship Group will serve to further deepening cooperation.

Pierre-Alain Raphan, in turn, highlighted developing ties between the two countries, saying France is keen to further develop bonds with Azerbaijan in economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
