Baku, 17 May, 2013 – The British Council Azerbaijan, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is pleased to announce the continuation of the Behind the Scene initiatives implemented within Theatre Partnership project.

The Audience development workshop will be run by Joanna Taylor on 20 – 21^th of May at the Park Inn in Baku. Over than 15 participants from state and private theatre, art agencies and theatre studios in Azerbaijan will be encouraged to share knowledge and experience and to discuss ways of working that may be new to them and investigates new ‘creative producing’ and collaboration models from a range of innovative UK perspectives.

Jo is the lead consultant for key clients on projects such as segmentation and branding; empowering cross-disciplinary teams to develop audiences through a vision-led, audience-focused approach. Jo specialises in working in the performing arts sector. She balances clear strategic thinking with first hand practical experience of the issues facing arts managers in daily life. She provides pragmatic support and confidence to organisations seeking to exploit the benefits of an audience-centric, insight-led approach. 

Recent clients include the National Theatre, Curve, The Place, Barbican, London Symphony Orchestra, Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse, The British Council, Goldsmiths College, Chickenshed and Cornerhouse. Jo frequently delivers training, workshops and seminars.
