Azerbaijan`s Justice Minister and chairman of Judicial-Legal Council Fikrat Mammadov has met Head of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Office in Baku Koray Targay.
Mr. Mammadov briefed Koray Targay on improvement of the country`s court system under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as increasing the number of judges, modern judiciary building construction.
He also touched upon the development of justice and penitentiary system in Azerbaijan, as well as medical services to prisoners, implementation of efficient public control.
Koray Targay, in turn, highlighted cooperation between Azerbaijan and OSCE and praised successful reforms carrying out the country`s judicial system, as well as modernization of the infrastructure, implementation of ICT, expansion of prisoners` rights.
They also hailed Azerbaijan`s dynamic development over the independence years and stressed the important role of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Koray Targay also stressed the importance of popularization of Azerbaijan`s achievements in international arena in judicial and court sphere.
They exchanged views on developing administrative justice, as well as improvement the justice.
