On December 21st a traditional meeting covering the Azerbaijani-Russian relations with the Azerbaijani journalists was held at the Embassy of Russia in Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Vladimir Dorokhin thanked the media of Azerbaijan for their contribution to development of Azerbaijani-Russian relations and attention to his country. He in particular stressed the role of the media in strengthening and developing bilateral relations. “Today, we are witnessing a powerful activation process of the political life in Russia, and this is due to increased attention to the global information environment in our country,” Mr. Dorokhin underlined.
Noting that in the past year the Azerbaijani-Russian relations were developing quite rapidly, the diplomat said that the trade volume between the two countries this year has reached $ 3 billion. Stressing that in 2012, the rapid development of interregional relations continued, Vladimir Dorokhin recalled the visit of the Head of the Russian Federation to Baku, many signed agreements between the two countries.
Finally, a group of employees of the “Mir” TV’s Azerbaijani representation was awarded for their active cooperation.
