On February 29th Azerbaijan`s first lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met a delegation led by Vlade Divac, Chairman of the Olympic Committee of Serbia and founder of the Foundation Ana & Vlade Divac. 
Mrs. Aliyeva said cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia was developing successfully in all fields.
The President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation stressed the importance of reciprocal visits of the two countries` presidents.
She noted these visits contribute to strengthening bilateral relations even more.
Mehriban Aliyeva recalled the presentation of a "Worthy Friend of the Balkans" state award founded by Foundation Ana & Vlade Divac to Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev.
The first lady said cooperation between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Foundation Ana & Vlade Divac was important in terms of relations between the two countries` non-governmental organizations.
Mrs. Aliyeva underscored she was aware about the activity of the Foundation Ana & Vlade Divac in humanitarian area, including assistance to IDPs and people in need. She said the two foundations have common objectives and priorities.
The President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation spoke of the prospects for cooperation between the foundations.
She said the the Heydar Aliyev Foundation implemented projects in Serbia. " A church and a mosque are reconstructed in Serbia. We plan to realize projects in various fields in future, including in sports and education."
The first lady expressed assurance the visit of the Serbian delegation to Azerbaijan would be a success.
Vlade Divac said the aim of the visit was to present the award to President Ilham Aliyev, and familiarize himself with the Azerbaijani people.
The Chairman of the Serbian Olympic Committee underlined President Ilham Aliyev`s activity contributes to bringing the two countries` peoples closer to each other.
Divac said he got acquainted with the activity of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
He noted the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s diverse activity encouraged Foundation Ana & Vlade Divac to build wide mutual cooperation.
