On September 7th head of the Narimanov District Executive Power, Abdin Farzaliyev met the Governor of Astrakhan province of Russia, Alexander Jilkin.
Farzaliyev briefed Jilkin on the projects being carried out in the region by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Jilkin, in turn, praised the relationship between Azerbaijan and Russia. He said all steps had been taken to strengthen historical friendly ties between the two countries` peoples.
He noted Azerbaijan-Russia relationship started when national leader Heydar Aliyev came to power, and today President Ilham Aliyev raised it to a higher level.
Jilkin also spoke of the works done in Astrakhan at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev.
The sides also discussed how to expand cooperation between the Narimanov districts of Baku and Astrakhan even more.
