Head of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s Russian representation, chairwoman of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR) Leyla Aliyeva and management of the All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis met Azerbaijani students studying in Russia.
Opening the event, Mammad Aliyev, president of the All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, praised the Azerbaijani government`s attention towards the students studying abroad.
Leyla Aliyeva highlighted AYOR`s activities. She praised the fact "there are Azerbaijani clubs in many regional higher educational institutions".
Mrs. Aliyeva called on the Azerbaijani youth to be more active in cooperating with AYOR, saying "our doors are open for everybody, for cooperation and for every undertaking".
On behalf of AYOR, Mrs. Aliyeva presented A Student award to Azerbaijani students of Russian universities.
It was announced that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s Russian representation launched a social stipend for 10 students from low-income families from Moscow and Russia`s regions.
Tofig Melikov, chairman of the educational committee of the All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis, made a report at the event.
Azerbaijani students and their parents thanked Leyla Aliyeva, President Ilham Aliyev, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s Russian representation and the All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis for showing attention to education and problems of youth.
