Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns violence against Azerbaijanis in French Parliament

Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has today issued a statement, which strongly condemns the fact that Azerbaijanis had been beaten in the Parliament of France. The Ministry`s press service told AzerTAc.
The statement says “Mirvari Fataliyeva, chairperson of Azerbaijan House functioning in Paris, and Azerbaijani student Vusal Huseynov were brutally beaten by Armenian Diaspora members at the event organized in the National Assembly of France by Armenian Diaspora organizations on February 26.”
“The incident, happened in the presence of members of the French National Assembly, was not interfered by MPs. The violence against Azerbaijanis by Armenian lobby and their supporters proves once more that they are deeply concerned over Azerbaijan`s activities aiming to accurately inform the world community about the conflict-related truths.
Despite such cases of violence, Azerbaijan`s diplomatic missions and Diaspora organizations abroad will further continue work to educate the international community about the tragedies perpetrated by Armenia against our people.
The statement stresses: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, condemning the violence committed against Azerbaijani citizens, believes that relevant agencies of France will comment on the incident, the country`s law-enforcement bodies will promptly investigate the crime and perpetrators will be brought to justice.”
