On February 15th Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov met deputy foreign minister of Italy Marta Dassù.
Mammadyarov praised the relations between the two countries, adding there were good prospects for boosting cooperation in various fields, particularly energy sphere.
He stressed the role high-level reciprocal visits in deepening the bilateral relations.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the FM stressed the importance of immediate withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from Azerbaijan`s occupied territories. “Only this can guarantee peace and stability in the region.”
Marta Dassù praised the relations between Azerbaijan and Italy.
She said Italy put special emphasis on its cooperation with Azerbaijan, and also praised the country`s role in ensuring European energy security.
