On December 7th at the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, a meeting was held with the foreign countries’ military attachés accredited in the country. Prior to meeting, the military attachés of the US, Russia, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Iran, China, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Pakistan, Czech Republic, Belarus, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Austria, Finland, Hungary and Zambia arrived at a military unit in Baku and attended the press briefing on peacekeeping battalion. Following this, the meeting was held with the peacekeeping battalion’s staff.
The military diplomats inspected classrooms at the Military Education and Training Center of the Armed Forces and the other equipments related with the Center. Finally, the briefing was held at the Partnership for Peace Center.
Opening the briefing, chief of the Defense Ministry’s International Military Cooperation Department Major-General Ramiz Najafov greeted the guests on behalf of Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel-General Safar Abiyev and gave the floor to Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant-General Cingiz Mammadov. The Deputy Minister informed the guests about the situation in the region, international military cooperation and Armenia’s aggressive policy.
The officers of the Defense Ministry’s International Military Cooperation Department reported on the recent innovations and future plans.
Then, the questions of attachés were answered.
