Dublin hosts meeting of GUAM Council of Foreign Ministers-A

Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, GUAM, was held on Friday in Dublin.
In the meeting presided by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova had discussions as part of the OSCE Ministerial Council in the capital of Ireland.
The forum was also attended by Secretary General of GUAM Valery Chechelashvili.
In the meeting, discussed was the interaction and cooperation of the countries. Ministers reviewed all of the working groups that are active in the organization, and identifed areas for future cooperation in versatile fields.
Among the topics discussed by the ministers was the draft resolution "Protracted conflicts in the GUAM area and their implications for international peace, security and development", which is planned to be submitted for discussion at the UN. The agenda of discussions included also the issue of the 2013 GUAM summit in Baku.
Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, GUAM, is a regional organization established in 1997 by Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova (Uzbekistan also was its member from 1999 to 2005).
