On July 18th Parliament and the people of Mexico are always beside Azerbaijan in all questions, including in the question of settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Mexico on the international organizations support fair position of official Baku, and this policy is invariable", stated the chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Congress of Mexico Oscar Arse at the meeting with Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament Ogtay Asadov. 
Having greeted the guests, Ogtay Asadov said: "In spite of the fact that Azerbaijan and Mexico are geographically located far apart, between our people there were very kind and close friendly relations. Only for the last 9 months four delegations from Mexico have visited Azerbaijan It is evidence to our friendship and cooperation. We believe that your visit as chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Congress of Mexico, will promote expansion of the relations not only between our parliaments, but also the states".
Chairman of Milli Majlis on behalf of the Azerbaijani people and parliament expressed gratitude to the Senate of Mexico and the Chamber of Deputies for the adopted decisions and resolutions on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, and also the Khojaly genocide. It was noted that protection of the fair voice of Azerbaijan by Mexico, recognition of Armenia as a state aggressor is an example for other countries.
Mr. Oscar Arse noted that from first minutes of stay in Azerbaijan they felt as in the homeland, expressed gratitude for the warm attitude and hospitality.
He said that Mexico is interested in full development of relations with Azerbaijan. "Between our countries there are great opportunities in expansion of cooperation in scientific, trade and other spheres", he stressed.
The sides had comprehensive exchange of views on activity of the inter-parliamentary friendship groups, intensification of mutual visits, exchange of experience, opening of embassy of Mexico in Baku and other questions representing mutual interest.
