On April 19th Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade met a Ukrainian delegation led by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn. 
Rasizade praised political and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
The Premier said the two countries enjoy historic relationship.
The Azeri PM noted the two countries` relations were built based on strategic partnership.
Rasizade stressed the importance of Azerbaijan-Ukraine cooperation within GUAM.
The Premier briefed the delegation on Azerbaijan`s economic achievements.
The Azeri PM also spoke about the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
He noted that Armenian aggression resulted in the occupation of 20 percent of Azerbaijan`s territory and displacement of over one million Azerbaijanis.
Volodymyr Lytvyn hailed diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada underlined the importance of Azerbaijan`s socio-economic achievements.
