On February 29th Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met a Pakistani delegation led by deputy chairman of the country`s Senate Mir Jan Jamali.
During the meeting, they praised Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations.
They underlined the two countries enjoy mutual support in various fields.
They stressed the importance of fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan within international organizations, including the UN Security Council.
Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan was interested in expanding relationship with Pakistan.
The Azeri FM stressed the necessity of developing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, energy and culture.
Mammadyarov underscored the importance of the parliamentary diplomacy, adding intensifying the reciprocal visits was an important factor in development of the political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
The Minister also thanked the Pakistani senators for supporting Azerbaijan`s fair stance on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
