On February 23rd Azerbaijan`s Minister of Internal Affairs, colonel-general Ramil Usubov met Turkish counterpart Idris Naim Sahin.
Usubov said Turkey was the first country which recognized Azerbaijan`s independence.
He said development of relations between the two countries is associated with national leader Heydar Aliyev`s name.
He underlined Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Internal Affairs attached a particular emphasis to developing bilateral relations with the Turkish law enforcement bodies.
Usubov expressed confidence the current visit of the Turkish Minister would give a push to expansion of the cooperation.
Naim Sahin noted the uniqueness of the Turkey-Azerbaijan relations, adding "our countries are like twin brothers".
He hailed Azerbaijan`s development, and praised situation in the country.
Naim Sahin stressed the importance of developing the cooperation between the two countries` internal affairs authorities.
