Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) Sinan Ogan has presented the bill on recognition of the Khojaly massacre as genocide to the Turkish Parliament. 
The bill substantiates necessity of recognition of the massacre the Armenians committed in Azerbaijani city of Khojlay, proposing to mark the 26th February as the day of commemoration of the victims of Khojaly genocide, Sinan Ogan told AzerTAc correspondent. The bill also suggests election of the monuments in large cities of Turkey to eternalize memory of the Khojaly genocide victims, not to forget the happenings in Khojaly.
In the preamble of the bill, it is stated that the Khojaly massacre is a genocide according to the international law, in particular, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN`s legislative acts on genocide. The Paris Avenue in Ankara is proposed to name as "Khojaly Avenue", while the De Gaulle Avenue is offered to name in memory of one of the Khojaly victims.
