Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov on February 2 arrived in Lithuania's capital Vilnius. 
During the visit, Khalafov met with Lithuanian Foreign Minister and co-chair of the intergovernmental joint commission Audronius Azubalis, Adviser to the PM on Foreign Policy Laimonas Talat-Kelpša, Chairman of the Foreign Affaires committee at Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Emanuelis Zingeris and the country's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Asta Skaisgiryte Liauskiene.
The discussions revolved around current state of cooperation, potential areas of relationship, further development of bilateral and multilateral relations between two countries.
The sides discussed the upcoming official visits of the Lithuanian Foreign Minister Ažubalis and Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius to Azerbaijan and organization of the second session of intergovernmental commission and business forum in Baku.
The sides also emphasized that it is important to continue fruitful cooperation between the parliaments of two countries within the European Union Twinning project.
Khalaf Khalafov informed the Lithuania's top official on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, sustainable economic development of Azerbaijan, the country's stance on various regional and global issues.
