Parliamentary delegation led by Vice-Speaker of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Bahar Muradova takes active part in XIX annual session of Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE in Oslo.
Special representative of the PA OSCE on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Goran Lenmarker in the report on the activity in region underlined that in settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict there is a move ahead. The reporter also mentioned last meetings of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, activity of the OSCE Minsk Group.
Mr. Lenmarker and head of the Azerbaijan delegation, Vice-Speaker of Milli Majlis Bahar Muradova underlined that actually expression ‘"the frozen conflict" creates false representation about the conflict as in region everyday still perish civilians and soldiers.
Expressing attitude to Lenmarker`s report, the head of the Azerbaijan delegation told: "In the report you have not noticed that Azerbaijan has accepted the Madrid principles, and Armenia still has not defined till now its position on this point. Armenia simply does everything to protract time. Please, express your opinion on activity of the Armenian side. Certainly, you cannot solve instead of us the problem, but you as the special representative and the reporter, has the right to show concrete stance on this point".
Members of the Azerbaijan parliamentary delegation - Eldar Ibrahimov, Rabiyyat Aslanova, Fattah Heydarov, Azay Guliyev, Fazil Mustafa took active part in discussions at XIX annual session of the OSCE PA.
The chairman of the OSCE PA Joao Soaresh highly appreciated the activity of Azerbaijan in structure, positively regarded democracy development in the country and rational use of natural resources.
At session, also were in focus the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan. It was noticed that for supervision over elections to pass in the autumn current year, the OSCE PA will send missions of observers to the country.
