On November 16th Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade met the delegation led by First Vice President of the European Commission, high representative of the European Union for foreign affairs and security policy Catherine Ashton.
The Azerbaijani Premier underlined Catherine Ashton`s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to expanding relations between the country and European Union even more.
Artur Rasizade briefed Catherine Ashton on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, adding resolution of the problem must be based on Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and norms of international law.
High representative of the European Union for foreign affairs and security policy, Mrs. Catherine Ashton expressed satisfaction with her visit to Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, they discussed development of bilateral relationship between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
