A new draft resolution on Azerbaijan has been submitted to the UN General Assembly's current 64th session in New York.
The 10 point draft resolution called "Observance of international humanitarian and international human rights law in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan" bases on such documents on the conflict in Nagorno Karabakh as Hague Convention, Universal Declaration on Human Rights, Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict.
Besides, the Draft takes into account the General Assembly resolutions 48/114 of 20 December 1993, entitled "Emergency international assistance to refugees and displaced persons in Azerbaijan", and 60/285 of 7 September 2006 and 62/243 of 14 March 2008, both entitled "The situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan", Security Council Resolutions 822, 853, 874, 884, as well as the OSCE Minsk Group report and the recent statement of the Minsk Group Presidents on Nagorno-Karabakh in Toronto.
